Edna Morse, 99, of Protem died Thursday, July 26, 2018 in the Forsyth Nursing and Rehab Center. A memorial service will be scheduled later.

Edna Pomeroy Morse was born Friday, December 13, 1918 in Bellingham, WA to George and Vera (Pomeroy) McAllister. She attended several school in the area and graduated from the Bellingham High School with the class of 1936. She worked in various jobs but mostly as a commercial housekeeper. Edna moved from Bellingham to Bloomington, Il then back to Bellingham. She then moved to Protem in 2013.

Edna was a very outgoing lady that liked almost everyone. She was religious and had a very positive outlook on life. Edna played the guitar and was a volunteer at a nursing home where she played music. She also enjoyed landscape painting and gardening. She was a member of the AMVET Auxiliary Post 154 and the Protem Community Church. She loved her family dearly.

She is survived by two sons, Allen Morse of Bellingham, WA, Morris E. Morse and wife, Teresa of Bloomington, IL; one daughter, Nancy Holforty and husband, Jim of Protem; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kennith Morse; twin brother, Ed McAllister; daughter, Sharry Morse and a grandson, Aaron Morse.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home, Forsyth, MO.
